2024/25 Nathan Patterson

It's a bad indictment of him, he still seems like he's carrying tol much timber. Had high hopes for him but Dyche clearly doesn't trust him. He needs a good run of games before final judgement can be passed on him.

Not really, Dyche’s opinion is worthless and he just plays his favourites regardless of form.

Whatever the problem is isn’t about his football anyway, he obvious just has issues with him as a person. Patterson has made far less errors over Dyche’s time here than either Coleman or Young yet they get ignored whilst Patterson is frozen out. That’s also shown by him hitting him on that trip.

Dyche, Gerrard, Lampard, Ferguson and Clarke all didn't or don't pick him. Alright its not the best bunch of managers but it's quite clearly the consensus that he just isn't very good rather than something personal

I’m sure I’m wrong with this but every time I see him (usually warming up pre game or on the training videos) he doesn’t seem as focused. They were doing a passing transition drill today and whilst the others were doing it properly he doesn’t seem as professional. Might irritate managers id guess.

Yeah I'm beginning to think they can't all be wrong. I really thought he was gonna hit the ground running straight away, he looked the part at Rangers in the few games I seen him play. And please don't reply mention pub league.

Clarke does pick him when he’s fit and playing. Lampard did pick him for a good amount of time till he got injured. He was a kid under Gerrard and behind the team captain at Rangers (who also are bad for bringing through young players, they haven’t in ages).

Gerrard, Lampard, Ferguson, the pinnacle of footballing mangers too by the way.

I mean, it’s been talked about a lot before. But at rangers (when he was still a teenager/only 20) he was behind the club captain in the pecking order, the club captain who is still their first choice right back several years on.

Under Lampard, Lampard went with Coleman when he needed leadership to keep us up. Then Patterson was first choice at the start of the next season until he got injured, then when he got fit, he came straight back into the team.

It’s well known the issues with Dyche.

Internationally, he is hardly going to get picked when he isn’t playing any football at all.

Would you put total effort in when you know before the day even begins that the manager won’t be giving you any minutes?

It would be great business to claw back £5M from the £12M wasted on him and put it toward a new LB signing. That would improve us a lot as a team without losing ANYTHING whatsoever from the squad.
Wont be paying that kind of Money for him after Dyche basically destroying the prospect that he was, heard Everton preparing bid for Igamane, so £20m +Patterson on loan till end of season.
What's your thoughts? 🤔

£20m for a SPL player who has done nothing - no ta. As bad as signing Patterson in first place for that fee.
