2023/24 Nathan Patterson

Patterson is way behind Walker in his stats. But then thats why he plays for Man City and Patterson is currently our 3rd choice RB. However, as I said earlier, our Defensive coach has worked wonders for Myko, hopefully they can do the same with Nathan.
Patterson looks to be average pace for a young FB: Livramento - 78; Hickey 75, for instance.

So not especially quick.

He's quicker than what he have with Coleman and Young but we knew that anyway.

🤷‍♂️

Obviously he's a 'wurld klass Midfielder' now but as he was also the best Right back ever, in fact he invented how to right back, just to compare stats, TTA is a 76.

Let's get it straight shall we - this lad has done f.a. yet.

If others wish to praise him to the high heavens for the 3 or 4 appearances he hasn't made a complete bollocks of it then so be it.

He's been a bit part player here so far.

Sorry if that runs counter to the narrative of his weirdly-slavish fan boys, but that's the reality.
Given is recently turned 22 @davek playing over 30 times in the prem and 20 internationals is quite an achievement. Onana is only a 2 months older and has 10 more appearances.

Last season Patto played some part in 19 Prem matches whereas he has already featured in 14 prem games and 17 total this year. So to state he is a bit part player when only 5 Everton players have featured in more games then him season shows how wrong you are on this.

For the line "3 or 4 appearances he hasn't made a complete bollocks of it" could you describe what he did in these other 13 matches that made a complete bollocks of himself? Because if that was the case surely every fan would have a similar opinion of him to Keane or Godfrey wouldn't you say?

If you want I can take this the new arena you deluded kopite, every thread you talk utter [Poor language removed].

I don’t think there’s any doubt in my mind that Patterson has pace, certainly enough pace to be an attacking right back in the PL for a club with no money to spend. What puzzles me is his stamina, as shown by his inability to get back as quickly as he gets forward. I’m not sure if he’s misjudging going forward , putting in too much effort and unable to get back quickly or he lacks stamina yet , which seems strange in a Dyche fitness regime. Talk of loaning him out is nonsense , we’ve got two experienced right back ahead of him , but both are now of an age where injuries can come thick and fast to them, so Patterson will get plenty of minutes in the rest of the season, it’s up to him to take his chances and nail down the RB spot, even if it’s for next season.

It was looked at by match officials and Jackson will face no further action from it.
Unfortunately knowing the state of officiating they were probably looking at Patterson to see if there was anyway they could charge him with illegal use of the neck rather than charge Jackson.

….weird reaction, I can only think something was said.

Looked to me patterson went to shake his hand. Jackson didnt offer his and patterson had a well sod you then.
Who was the Everton player that came in at the end and gave jackson a good shove? I effing love that. One of my biggest gripes in recent years is no team spirit and having your team mates back.

I'd keep Young in just because he's been part of a defence that has kept 3 clean sheets on the spin.

Once we get to a 'comfortable' position though, I'd be starting Patterson. He needs a run of games. If Dyche can do half of what he's done for Mykolenko, for Patterson, he'll be laughing.
can see what you mean about changing a winning team etc, but not strictly true. he played one of the three games further forward and come off before HT in another.

id have patterson in all day over young at RB, wouldnt mind coleman coming back in like.

On the Jackson end of match thing tarks apparently went to him to shake his hand and he refused it then sat down Patterson then went over to him shook his hand and a few words were said between them Jackson then got up and gripped Patterson. Sending off if it had been Patterson grabbing him obviously nothing to see here with it being a Chelsea man.
