Spot on Dave, apart from him putting the fella who was having Young on toast, firmly back in his box and frustrating him enough for Mudryk to get a stupid yellow card. Coleman may well start, if he is fit, but, there is absolutely no excuse for starting Young ahead of Patterson at right back.
Exactly this. Mudryk was absolutely fed up of having no joy down that side against Patterson to the point that Patterson tackled him, and spun away with the ball, drawing an foul and Mudryk to petulantly kick the ball away.

The problem with Patterson is he wanders forward but cant get back into position and we're stretched by defences.

We've seen that in every game he plays. He's blowing for tugs trying to play that game. FFS he's 22 years of age and should be able to get up and down for 90 odd minutes.
For once half fill your glass,it won’t kill you,be the bigger person swallow your pride and admit your not always right, today he didnt do anything wrong had a good game.

I'm merely saying this wasn't a notable effort.

I said when he played really well in the derby last season he was superb.

I'll withhold any plaudits for when a player deserves them.

Consistency is important and he's been nowhere near that.

He faces at least this season on the bench as two more experienced FBs rotate into the spot. Next week is a different matter as there'll be no option but to play him. I just hope he concentrates 100% for 90 minutes against Burnley.
