2023/24 Nathan Patterson

Putting that Fulham goal on him is exceedingly harsh. Considering it came from our left, he is running across to their player who passed it first time and Garner was stood ball watching while their wide man who Garner should be picking up just jogged in.
Pfffft!!!

….he was only on for a cameo but in one instance Mitoma received the ball and Patterson was 4 yards off him. Mitoma took it to the bye line and crossed. That moment epitomised him.

It’s my big problem with Patterson, when he plays we concede lots of crosses from his flank. I’m sure the coaching staff have the stats but I’m nervous when he starts.

He does this to literally every defender in the league mate. Not sure if you’ve noticed (you should have if you’re not Stevie Wonder) but Dyche tucks both full-backs in very narrow and it’s an absolutely horrendous way to defend.

I am unsure about Patterson defensive abilities. Must admit he seems very raw yet he should be experienced by now. He is one of those players that shows he has something and I think that something is his attacking prowess. We actually need more of a defensive nous from him

Well wrong again
Fulham goal Patterson stays with his man as the centre halfs desert their positions & Mcneil stops tracking Reid who then has a tap in.
And Wolves goal
Tarkowski runs with his man Kaladzic and doesn't even challenge him. Simple header.

So both wrong.....AGAIN.

Any more Dave 🤷‍♂️
He tried the same revionism last season so I posted screenshots of players positions for each example.

Guess what? In one out of the four he admitted he might have been wrong.

That's progress.

Yes welcome to the party!

Have a day off mate and cut out the insults. You should be happy - Patterson did well today!

The irony of being called insulting by someone who seems to spend pretty much every day of their lives being nothing but insulting to one of our players on here whilst they come to the defence of the most intentionally insulting person on the forum...

As for taking a day off... You've barely taken a day off this thread in about two months

How about you take a day off, or perhaps a month or a year and give us all some peace

Has there ever been a player so divisive that he splits the fanbase like this every match, whether he plays or is left out?

Possibly not, I don't see that it's ever going to work for him here tbh, he is probably best for his own sake and his career looking elsewhere to a club where he can get the coaching he needs for his defensive issues and be more appreciated.

He doesn’t have “defensive issues”, he’s a good defender. But I agree I think it would be best for him to go elsewhere and develop his potential. He will not do it under Dyche

No he does mate, his positioning at times is nothing short of comical, it's an easy fix which is why I don't understand why Dyche and his staff are not doing anything about it. It can only be because they don't rate the player.

That’s because Dyche has been telling his fullbacks to stay narrow. That’s not Patterson’s decision, that’s Dyche

It's like Joel Robles all over again with this lad.

Hyped up to the hilt.

He should be starting every game for us and Scotland but unfortunately every manager who sees him on a daily basis seems to pick another player ahead of him.

Proper weird how they are all wrong to be doing this instead of starting him.
