I still think it was strange to pay what we did for him for a lad whose barely played any games.

If we were sat comfortably in the table, sure, get him in and say he’s one for the future. Given our struggles, it’s pretty poor of our board to spend what we did on someone who isn’t ready to contribute out of the gate.

Years ago, absolute whoppers like you would have to be organised, get up early and make sure you got to the park bench/ corner before another equally baffled whopper in order to spout their nonsensical drivel at passers by. You could also use your trusty sharpie pen (if you didn’t need a poo) if you happened to frequent a toilet cubicle to scribble down more words of wisdom, safe in the knowledge that your bedroom, with its walls adorned in old newspaper and tv aerial covered in tin foil were waiting for you when you had finished “educating” people.

I personally wouldn’t be laughing when “he’s ain’t heavy” is playing and my Ukrainian team mate is sat right behind me, in the middle of a tribute to his homeland.

He could be if this kid can’t get minutes at the end of a 3-0 win I can’t see him playing in a cup tie that if we lose Lampard will get hounded on his selections.

Should start, but I wouldn't be surprised if he just comes on when the game's won. As I understand it there's concern about him in training still.
