Naismith 3 year extention

With the addition of a new striker, a winger or two and an attacking playmaker, that makes him 4th or 5th choice in positions.

That's some vote of confidence that.

He's just not good enough for how we play. We're a counter attacking unit, he offers nothing.

Examples of Naismith contributing to a counter-attack:

13/14
1. Stevenage (H) LC, assisted Deulofeu
2. Fulham (A) LC, scored
3. Chelsea (H) PL, scored

14/15
1. Arsenal (H) PL, scored
2. Chelsea (H) PL, scored
3. Wolfsburg (H) EL, scored

They are just several from counters. He has contributed more when we have been in control.

His stock will be relatively high after a decent year or two, hes getting on and with hopefully a new number 10 to come in would be wise to try and get as much cash for him as possible while we can. Good finisher and works hard but he is a bit toilet on the ball.

Most things break down with him. He's awful with the ball and can't pass. He can finish one touch in the 6 box, fair play. Anything that requires multiple touches is going to end before it gets going.

There's nothing wrong with Naismith. He's good at what he does.

The problem is that he occupies positions and roles in the team that do not play to his strengths, and highlight what he does not have in his locker.

This would be bad if he was playing RB for example, but given that he often plays in what many consider to be the most important role in the team (behind the striker that is), then it can really hurt us. The fault lies with Roberto. Naismith isn't going to suddenly turn into David Silva, but if he is used sparingly and in ways we can see the best of him, he can bring a lot to the team.

Remind me what he is good at please mate.

He wasn't alone there today in terms of cluelessness, but he's a poor player. He has no right starting games.
