Probably the most weird thread ever.

Anyway, we keep hens, have done for years. Free range. The current crop dont seem to lay any eggs, until my neighbour told me she had 10 empty egg shells in her garden, broken like an hard boiled egg for brekkie, and totally cleaned out. So, something is coming into our garden, nicking eggs from somewhere, taking them nextdoors, then eating them. Never happened before.

Totally baffled here!

Any suggestions would be welcome, I expect from fellow wools, mainly!

raccoon? they are very clever and handy

Could be, but the hole dug under the fence is badger sized, and why would they take the eggs next door, at night, to eat them? Most animals take food back to their burrow, not next doors lawn!

Dont have Raccoons here Finn, Squirrals, rats, foxes, etc etc, but why do they take the eggs next door?? Makes no frikkin sense!

it probs dont mean nothing, some animals just take the chow with them and eat it some random place.
give me the list of animals there mate and ill try to fix it for ya

Maybe the hens are going next door to lay? God knows we have enough problems with ours. They lay them all over the facking place. Every day is an easter egg hunt here
