My friend who introduced me to Everton

I just found out a few hours ago that the friend who introduced me to Everton Football Club close to some 20 years ago passed away today. He had been battling cancer for the past five years. I'm pretty sure he was from Liverpool (Wirral) but he lived and worked here in the USA. When people ask me how I became an Evertonian, he's always the start of the conversation so I'll always remember him as I'm asked that question on a fairly regular basis. He was way too young to go.

RIP Nigel.

Ah, that's bad news Bill.

I'm sure Nigel left many good memories and legacies behind, but him introducing you to our club means not only have you both shared in the ups and downs of our team, but it also means those of us who type on here, have got to know you in a small way.

RIP Nigel, and thanks.

Sad news about your friend. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy the memories of chats about Everton you must had with him. And when we do win something again you will be able to raise a glass to him as well as the Blues. Those who made us Blues are always with us.

What a legacy to leave a mate, however, sorry to hear of your loss and rest in peace Nigel, it is indeed a grand old team.
