Do certain songs transport you back to a time and place, dead vividly.

Loads do with me but listened to two today.

This had me outside my apartment in a summer in Greece, in the afternoon with the door open and the fan on.

Listening to this one I was in my mates off my tits on mitsubishis, and trying to build up with my vision all over the show.

Right back at you with a Stereophonics tune, I used to work in a sweet bar, where I could give hot girls free drinks (not legally of course) and listen to my own music, and back when the Phonics were at their peak. This got a lot of playing.

Summer of 2003, Newquay is the place to be for boys wanting girls and girls wanting boys. This song was reported as being played a whopping 18 times in the car journey from the Midlands. Will always remind me of that trip

My childhood (well, teenage years). Nothing in particular, but whenever I hear them it brings a nostalgic feeling (I'd get that looked at if I were you!)

Autumn, 1986. My freshman year at college. A girl made me a tape of "Steve McQueen" and that record became seared into my memory. Literally every time I listen to it, I can close my eyes and it's 24 years ago and I'm a 17 year old kid away from home for the first time, and the heady mixture of freedom, sex, loneliness, terror, and the unlimited promise of a life not even really lived yet, all rolled into one.

I play it every day to try and get my end away... never works.

That and candy girl by LL too, that Phenomenom album got me a lot of ass!
 
Too many to mention.

Weezer - Memories is the most recent one that transports me back, Reading Festival 2010 with my ex-girlfriend, amazing how something like that can even bring back the sights and smells, cracking stuff.

Good thread idea, i'll try and think of some more later.
 
Like many Musical lovers around at this time....I spent a ridiculous amount of time listening to this album, and in particular this track

It reminds me of when I got my first proper job after finishing 6th form. Also realising that music was gonna be ace again and I for once had money to burn on fruit machines, beers and chasing girls. Spent most of the summer trying to fill my moms garden table with empty beer bottles in the week she was away on Holiday, eating sweet and sour chicken balls as the take away of choice every other night, and creating the wonderful game known to this day as Fidka, which was FIFA mixed with vodka. The next title in our witty vodka based computer drinking games was Brian Lara's......Brian Vodka.

Reminds me of school summer break where for the whole 5-6 weeks I did nothing but drink and go to parties.

Listened to this song all the time. Great memories.
