Anybody see this? It's available on channel 4 on demand after the 3 episodes were shown on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, brilliant documentary. Difficult to say what exactly happened but just feels like they have the wrong man but certainly the one thing you can say with a great degree of certitude is that her story does not add up.

Well worth a watch though.

No, but i saw Murder on the Dancefloor and always wonder what killed Sophie Ellis-Bextors career.

She organised it IMO

Likely they do have the right man IMHO but no way is her story on the level. Think they prob had met before that night.

This is how i thought of it initially but why would he keep quiet about it though? As well as that she identified him in court, if there was a deal between the 2 of them surely she could have said something less incriminating.

The fact she was seeing another bloke who she was on the phone to constantly before they even set off on their dream trip is enough to set alarm bells off.

Don't believe Murdoch was involved and used as a scapegoat by the cops who were under pressure to get someone for it, the amount of dna was nonsensical given her account of what supposedly happened.

The programme itself was OK, could easily have been shortened as a few cut scenes were just repeats from the previous episode.

Did find the theory that he faked his own death interesting too.

He had her hair tie years later did he not?
Multi DNA evidence on her, their car, restraints, he was in the immediate area and was a violent criminal who had recently dodged a kidnapping charge.
I dunno, it's definitely a strange case but reckon they have their man here.

Obv parallels with Amanda Knox case where she's almost certainly lying about events, vilified by the media for not conforming to 'correct' grieving procedure, but there's still no way she did it.

I’m never keen on these real life murder docs as they are purely for entertainment purposes taking advantage of real life deaths. Then I get people at work turning into amateur sleuths saying things like ‘he definitely did it’ etc etc. The evidence laid out is deliberately manipulated by the producers to lead the viewers down multiple narratives of their choosing.
Anyways... happy weekend guys.
