I know people have acknowledged Mrs. Kenwrights passing in another thread, but some posters are struggling to draw a line between their antipathy towards Bill Kenwright and natural sympathy for his bereavement.

For this reason I think it is worth a separate thread for us to offer Bill our condolences without any reservations.

I met Bill and his mother a few years ago in tragic circumstances for my own family, and found them both to be very compassionate people who were genuinely moved by our loss.

Forget the politics and passion for our Club's future for a moment and reflect on Bill as a son who has lost his dear old Mum.

R.I.P Mrs Kenwright.

well said mate, but we are evertonians, i have failed to see one person on here let their feelings get in the way of a condolence message and nor would i expect it of any of ours. If this is the case i would like to think they would say nothing, but again i doubt a blue would be that way

RIP

I paid my respects on the other thread because it was brought up there.

To be honest, it's not an issue that should be a matter of discussion on an Everton forum. It's a family matter. I was surprised the OS had a story about it yesterday. Biill's mum passing away is his business. I dont like the idea of a thread dedicated to this, tbh. It's like we're the fawning followers of a great leader who's every loss is our own. It isn't.

Congrats Dave on putting your foot right through any sensitivity, ever heard the phrase its better to keep your mouth shut and think people perceive you as a moron, than to open it and have it confirmed?

This is one of those occasions. It's a bit of respect. That is all.

I paid them. My point is a decent one. It's all I have to say on the subject, but feel free to make a big ****ing deal about it to prove how sensitive you are.

Dave's point is a fair one, plenty of RIP's in the other thread and whats "Everton" about this one.
it didnt seem like there was any disrespect inferred by daves post.

Agreeing with Davek for once.

We wouldn't have a thread if the bootman's mother passed away, would we ?

Sorry fellas, didn't want start a row.

It's not necessarily Everton related, but I can't help but compare this with the heartfelt response to Deepak's thread about his Dad. Mrs. Kenwright was just another member of the Everton family who I have met and I thought she deserved a mention in her own right.
