Player Valuation: £750k
I love the lad, no need to tell a true football fan why but for the "haven't a clues" here's some reasons why, he has great vision, can scores goals, has great ball control, a team player, unselfish as far as strikers go.

You can add yer own reasons, :) he left us and so has many, many others, I think maybe so many show such hatred towards him is because, maybe, he was the best, in my mind he was. We all knew how great this kid was gonna be, he broke many hearts including mine when he left but I bear no animosity toward him.

If he was my son, I'd have wanted him to leave for the money, you always want yer kids to have the best out of life and Wayne, we know, is no Albert Einstein, who once said...."I never think of the future-it comes soon enough". One reason why yer got to take what's available while yer can.

If the truth's known, the first player yer want on the England team sheet is Rooney, ask many a fan other than an Evertonian or Shyte and they'll tell yer Rooney, he excites like other top players when they're on blob. He's allowed one bad game now and then (like the other night) and for that I blame Fergie for wasting a striker on the wing.

I've read so much sh!te about Rooney being overrated that it tells me these fans no Jack Schitt about football.

So come on lads, give credit where it's due, us Evertonians love ball players and he is one.

Amen. :)

Posted via Mobile Device Wish he would have given us a few more years before f**king off. Once a blue always a blue, dont make me laugh.

Yes because at Everton he was only on £5 an hour. Get a grip, there was talk of him being offered a new contract worth 50 grand a week just before he left us, and if I had a 17 year old son earning that sort of money, then I would be over the moon. When Rooney was at us, there was not a person in the country who didn't think that in 2/3 years time he would be the best player in the world. 5 years later, hes not even close. IMO, he hasn't improved that much since he left us, just got bigger and stronger and playing with better players around him. Selling him was a blessing in disguise!!!

Also ahem .................any Everton supporter who doesnt want to lash Rooney over the head with a 2x4 isnt an Evertonian . FACT . Just leave lid ..........now :@

He's a very good player, there's no doubting that.

He's not the 'best' though. Messi and Ronaldo are different class to him.

I know we have had this discussion before, but I will say it again, Rooney has not grown into the player he could have at Everton, his all round game is better, but hes lost his explosive power and his fearlessness, hes a shadow of what he could have been.

Best £30m we ever got. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

He's a good player no doubt about that. He's not the playmaker and goalscorer that he was on our squad though. He's just a winger who has to defer to Ronaldo. As far as the best in the world, there are probably 4-5 guys on Utd that are better than him (Ronaldo, Tevez, Vidic are better, you could make the case that Rio and when awake Berbatov are better too).

I have no problem with Rooney. Nor do I have a problem with the 30M we received for him.

My problem has always been with Stretford. Scum of the earth.

We got good money for him. If [Poor language removed] was on the pitch for the Final then maybe Utd would have won and we'd have gotten more $$$. Oh wait....he did play didn't he? Funny I didn't notice.
