DAVID MOYES admits Everton FC have surpassed his expectations for this season – after their draw with Stoke guaranteed them a top 10 finish.

That's right, 40 points safely in the bag, and maybe even a "top 10" finish again? Get the honours list out lads, we've got a few additions to make!

Someone give this [Poor language removed] a kick up the arse, you're not managing Bolton.

FFS...

How can people continue to defend this attitude?

He's the biggest surrender monkey of them all.

When the transfer window shut in September & we'd lost Arteta and replaced Pienaar with a coked up Dutch playboy I think most of us would have taken top ten.

When I shut my eyes I still remember how awful we were against Blackburn in August.

Buy Pienaar, a couple of boss loan signings and some decent sun in July and we'll be chomping at the bit for the new season.

Forza Everton.

If you consider where we were in September, you can't disagree with him.

If we keep all our players this summer and add one or two and he still says these sorts of things, then people are right to be annoyed.

In the context if this season, 7th ain't bad at all.

After our start to the season, yes top 10 finish is good. But first off it is important to finish 7th, 7th is better than 10th - fact. So i dont really get why he doesnt seem to make that fact important.

Also, his attitude, well to be honest if i were a player and saw my manager being happy with a top 10 finish - and a better club comes in in the summer, id think jump ship - as we are content with a top 10 finish up until we have any investment.

Everton regardless of whether they our good enough or not should never have expectations to finish 7th

This isn't the same feller who took charge in 2002. That feller said he wanted to start every season believeing we could win the league. Now he's been taken over by this shithouse.

I reached the tipping point with him not too long ago. He's just a dullard, journeyman manager who's on the wage of an elite manager and isn't going to give that up in a hurry.

Basically he's taking the piss now by managing decline - and to do that he has to manage expectations. Every word he utters must be seen in that context.

hes not stupid is he! knows exactly when to try and lower expectation and when to big his team up, i still thinks hes angling for another job, i just cant see any available now redknapps staying!

He achieved what his boss wanted from him (stay in the prem) and anything else makes him look better cause he took a banana to a gunfight and didn't walk out with it shoved up his arse.

Ambition lol.

And no blame on himself for our ****e start to the season meaning that relatively top ten is ok.

I wish I thought that. He's done the sums mate: £3M per annum here achieving fcuk all...he wont get that deal anywhere in the world.
