It's not so much the personnel, I think, it's how we've got used to playing under Moyes. Give Baines, Barkley, Vellios, Donovan, Osman, Straq etc to some of the more progressive managers and we would smash most teams to bits.

Exactly this. Moyes could have Messi and Ronaldo on the team and make them look ordinary just by his defensive, squalid footballing philosophy.
