Manager David Moyes admits he has not done enough to entice Everton fans to Goodison Park this season after seeing attendance figures slide.

The Toffees have won just three of their nine Premier League home games this term and the number of supporters attending games has dwindled, with the gate of 31,004 against Norwich before Christmas the lowest recorded by the club for a league encounter since February 2002.

Moyes, whose side host Bolton on Wednesday evening, understands the fans' frustrations and knows Everton must do more to entertain.

"I am a football supporter, first and foremost," he told the Daily Mail.

"I know how it works. If I am winning games, supporters will turn up. I, as manager of Everton, have not won enough games this season for them to come.

"I have not entertained them enough. We have not scored enough goals.

"I need to do that to get the supporters to fill Goodison. Over the years, in the main, we have done that. But the fans on the road have seen a few victories."

Does that mean we'll start the game tonight with less than 7 or 8 defensive players!?

thats like a lion saying its going veggie, its just not the nature of the beast moyes and entertainment haha see how long that lasts after bottom of prem and non lg opponents are no longer the next ones up

Well it's refreshing if nothing else to see him admit it. Just want proof this evening. Bolton however awful they have been, can be a hard team to break down, let's not wait until the second half to try and score tonight hey Moyes. Let's entertain from the off FFS.

Haahahahahaha... Sorry, that's one of the funniest things he has ever come out with. Obviously its nice to see him admit we are boring as hell but he's not going to change, no chance. If he's aware of it he must have been for some time.

Still, its nice to see he's not completely deluded.

Well that's it. We all know Neville and Heitinga will be in midfield somewhere no doubt with one striker, but he's actually admitted it now. He's therefore got to try and do something out of the usual st some stage, surely?

Bet he's asked Nev to do more step overs

"reet laddies, you're allowed to shoot from five yards now instead of three."
