Moyes trying to rewrite history at Everton

Amazed to read this today:

Nice of him to pay tribute to Kendall now, but he didn't want to know him when he was alive. He made Kendall know he wasn't welcome at Finch Farm. The first time Kendall visited the training ground was 6 years after it had opened, in 2013 under Martinez. Kendall ever wrote about it when he was promoting his autobiography 2 years ago:

It's nice to pay tribute to someone after they've passed but rewriting history makes you look so bad.

You have been manipulated by the Daily Mail here. Moyes is not trying to rewrite history. The passage you quoted was the Daily Mail journalists words, not Moyes.

Bit unedifying to see people using the death of a legend of the club to get digs in at an ex-manager they don't like

I haven't been part of this/that debate but I think when Martinez welcomed Kendall to the training ground and points were made that seemed to indicate he'd not been 'welcome ' previously I think many Blues weren't best pleased due to the affection many of us felt for the great man .

Obviously the loss of one of the greatest , if not the greatest , evertonian heightens emotions. So to read an account that seems contrary to the story that was apparently accepted prior to his death has probably added to people's feelings .

I've no idea why people have commented but I'd suggest many have done so out of respect or emotion rather than petty points scoring .

It would be conjecture for me to form an opinion on the relationship they had but I certainly never heard Howard say a bad word about Moyes or vice versa.

From Mikel Arteta.

Maybe Moyes wasn't telling lies after all.
