Just been told, by a reliable source, although im saying it sceptical and bullshit, that moyes is being head hunted by utd to be assistant manager to ferguson with intention to being manager in 2 years...

Im not the type to spread rumours, but i wanted to know has anyone else heard this !!!

im pissed off cause all the lads in work are reds and are now taking the piss

Could be true, right? SAF certainly didn't expect to stay that long. I think they told Moyes to stay, that he'd be next, and SAF stayed longer than he thought, or others thought, and they certainly couldn't force him out.

BUT, just to make it post-related, Moyes wouldnt leave to be no.2, no point, he would consider it a massive step down. And hes very much his own man. Im sure if he continues his progress in 2 years when Fergie steps down i would expect him to be a contender anyway.

Ok, 2 reasons why Moyes won't go to Man Utd.

1. He won't work with Rooney.
2. Rooney won't work him.

At that point it was disaster zone, the very thought of Moyes leaving. By the time he actually did I think we were all pleasantly surprised and welcomed change, that ended up working out quite well really!
