Smith knew how to change a game when we needed it. Moyes just brings on more defenders and tells Beckford to come back and defend.

Smith was more tactically astute than Moyes and has a much better record in Europe. Or Jol.

I've been told by a mate that there was some kind of protest against Moyes today. Anyone know if this is true? I hope it isn't!

Disagree with you and chico Smith used to put round pegs in square holes and vice versa granted he spotted talent and worked under similar conditions as Moyes! But when did Smith get us within touching distance of champions league footy like Moyes! I think Moyes is getting a raw deal off the Moyes out brigade in all honesty.

Didn't you think we looked more fluid with four in midfield and two up front with Smith though mate? He'd also bring on Joe Max-Moore and Nick Chadwick to great effect at half time if we weren't winning.

Meanwhile Moyes is going round in circles. Where Smith saw an opportunity to win, Moyes sees an oppurtunity to put on 6 defenders and try not to lose.

I do prefer 4,4,2 but with the right personel which Moyes hasnt got through no fault of his own he's managing with his hands tied.
Who would take the job and put up with same sh*t board(of sound mind) if Moyes walked?

I have it on good authority that Martin Jol is on standby. He's a proper visionary. With the quality we have, and his clear, structured, intelligent vision, we'll be in the top 4 by next season.

Martin Jol is an honourable man, mate. Whilst Moyes will be all gloomy and moan about it, Jol will say "I don't need money, because I'm a manager. I will manage". Or something. He's a hero in the modern game, really.

i totally agree with these comments, our season has never got going and injuries have not helped, Moyes does speak to the media unlike Kenwright who is responsible for a lot of things that go on. Todays team was the strongest we had , you just had to look at the bench to see that. We are just playing the season out and the sooner it's over the better and let's hope for better things to happen hopefully in the summer and roll on August 13TH! Moyes MUST stay
