Yeah I can’t believe we didn’t beat Arsenal on the regular when we had Anichebe up front and they had Henry.
Only a poor manager couldn’t get Kilbane playing better than Ronaldo too I guess.
Worse teams then us did better against Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and the RS then we did. Hell way worse teams did far better then we did against those sides. Some teams that where miles worse us that couldn't hope to win still managed to not get humiliated as regularly as we did.

And we finished above those teams in the league virtually every season.

He wasn’t perfect but Moyes was and is a very good manager. We’ve been humiliated a lot more since he left - last Saturday for starters.

So again the biggest compliment (basically the only compliment) you can give to Moyes about his time here is that he delivered a better shade of crap then any of his successors have. No trophies and mid-table mediocrity. Sorry but I'm still not impressed.

really!
i remember getting tonked 4-0 twice in a week by villa and wba,
not to mention 5-1 by some romanian farmers,
far worse than last week!

He was here over a decade.. and yes the stats will show more hammerings in the 8 years since he left than the last 8 he managed here.

We finished in the top 7, seven times. I don’t class that as mid table mediocrity. With a net spend of zero in a decade.

and there is that season when we won only 3 of our first 17 league games and even in his last season we had a spell with 1 win in 9 league games. It happens but usually results in the sack nowadays.

another season with 1 win out of 12 league games. It was regular but came back with a few wins on the trot when it did not really matter anymore

Finishing 6th and 7th place in the league is mid-table. I don't care what nonsense Sky have fooled people into believing. If you're finishings around 6th and not winning a cup then you haven't achieved anything. Sure finishing 5th and 6th is way more enjoyable then finishing 10th or 11th but its still nothing to boast about.

I honestly don’t know what you expect from a manager that picks up a side that are heading for relegation and is given no money at all. He’s a football manager not a miracle worker.

Had Moyes been able to spend the Moshiri money then we might have actually challenged for trophies.
