If Moyes left within the next week, how would we cope finishing the season? Clubs with managerial availability with games left to play often attract for hire managers. Would you prefer him leave in the Summer or not at all? What do you think needs to be done short term or long term, if something needs to be done

(My first Thread, I'm quite excited)

Nice first thread mate..

Should go now..

And let whoever play the RS at Anfield.. And tonk them !

What a fresh start that would be.

Welcome mate. We don't really stand to benefit from him leaving now, so probably the summer. Although I would like a win at Anfield but that's not going to happen with him is it?

Congratulations on your first thread! The Moyes contract issue is certainly going to be an issue from now until the end of the season. Fact is, he won't resign because it would tarnish his spell at Everton and he won't be sacked, so it may be a limp and tame end to the Moyes era. I don't think it's appropriate he signs a new contract with no new investment on the horizon, just like when he first joined. It's time for a change and I just hope we can at least get Europa League Football which would be a nice end to a season (though it's CL football we all crave, cos we're superficial bastards who want glory).

My ideal scenario would be for Moyes to resign but that just won't happen, the contract issue will be an issue until the end of the season and I doubt we will finish top 6 now. I think it's going to be a real messy end for the Moyes era at Everton.

Welcome fella,

The thought of Steve Round in (interim) charge does not fill me with confidence. So I'd rather he buggered off in the summer. So long as he makes it plain to the board his intention to go so they can quietly do the ground work to sort out his replacement for the start of the summer and pre-season.

Of course, that takes foresight and planning. This is Everton, so it'll be a pigs ear and a tit of a summer.

Anyway, thoughts on pizza - Pineapple? Apricot? Prunes? Or good old meatfeast?

Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully Moyes uses today to really go all guns blazing with some important games coming up. If he stays, I don't think today was make or break but our next few performances are.

Wait till Wigan's future is secure and call Martinez. Can't imagine Kenwrong having the balls to make a decision. Maybe we'll have another ballot!

Well we're not gonna get relagated. And i'd be very surprised with the tough fixtures we've got left, and with confidence being so low if we finish in the top 6. So for me, it wouldn't be the end of the world if he left now. At least it would give us plenty of time to get somebody lined up for pre season. But as we all know, he ain't going anywhere any time soon . . .

If I wake up tomorrow and he's gone I will mark it on the Callander and celebrate it every year. The day will be called thank fcuk for that day.

Sack him tonight. Its like we're waiting for him to say "Right Ive decided I will be staying" Instead of us saying you can stay. Ive wanted him gone for years. Change is needed.

Hahahaha made my day this. If I had some points to rep you mate I would but I'm -10000 due to snidepire and that Goat.

I think he should stay. Whether he wants to or not is another matter. Short term I think Fellaini is an issue that needs sorting. I reckon we can kick on with good replacements when he leaves. I have the impression he's stinking the place out with his attitude. We've become a bit too reliant on the long ball for my liking of late anyway. He is replaceable. It's a shame though, because when he's arsed, he can win games for us.

Long term, we all know what the issue is. It is a constant black cloud hanging over us every positive step we take and dominating every discussion when we're going through bad patches. I dream of a day when that cloud does one and Moyes has a proper crack of the whip financially with us. Alas, that's never going to happen ffs. Being an Evertonian can only be so good with the current people at the top. There's always that ceiling. We always know we're walking a tightrope. After all these years it's taking the f*cking piss now.
