But it has Jo in it.

Now, I don't mean to be a pedantic [Poor language removed]...but.

How does a Brazillian striker go from playing in a front two with Wagner Love to having to run channels chasing a hopeless Phil Neville chip without it being a detriment on his game? All the time having his nearest team mate about 20 yards behind him by the way.

I'm not advocating him in any way and we had to play a certain way when we had him due to our squad, but we certainly didn't play to the lads strengths, he had about 35 minutes in a 4-4-2 with Saha once before he went off injured at Stamford Bridge.

We had Jeffers back on loan from Arsenal. Not so hot the second time around, but we could have him as a bench warmer. I liked Li Tie too. If anybody ever gave it 100% that lad did.

A noble attempt to defend Jo but he's been essentially useless since he left CSKA:

2008–2011 Manchester City 21 games with 1 goal
2009 → Everton (loan) 12 games with 5 goals (decent)
2009–2010 → Everton (loan) 15 games with 0 goals
2010 → Galatasaray (loan) 13 games with 3 goals
2011–2012 Internacional 16 games with 2 goals
Total of 77 games with 11 goals. That's Anichebe territory.

So I guess City, Galatasaray and Inter didn't play to his strengths either. Now this season he is doing okay:

2012– Atlético Mineiro 18 games with 7 goals ... but he's playing in Brazil. You might have a point though in that Mineiro likely adapt to him -- his other recent clubs are not going to build a team around a player like him.
