Moyes - "lacking flair"

no need to read that!

as i bet its just Teflon dave blaming everything else apart from his team selection/tactics

go on tell me im wrong!!

we lack flair because our defenders and goalkeeper can't wait to hoof the ball upfield at the earliest opportunity bypassing the midfield everytime

To be fair to moyes what has he got to work with.
We have lost pienaar and mikel cos of our useless chairman and board and what is he left with.
Osman only plays well after january for some reason, barkley is not ready yet and coleman is nowhere near the finished article.
We all want to see better football but until kenrite and the board go it wont happen.
We cant sell all our best players and not replace them yet still expect good times

He's got good material to work with. Yes, we've lost said players, but he still plays hoofs. And how do you know Barkley's not ready? He's played about 1 game tbf, and looked good while doing so!

We have good passers in the team, yet we feel the need to go all "Late 90's Everton" and hoof it to Dunc.

And I disagree - we can see better football even with Canwrite as a chairman.

I posted this in the LD thread, but since I know some folks avoid that thread, could this provide flair:

Saha
LD
Drenthe - Fellaini - Osman - Coleman
Baines - Jags - Distin - Hibbert

I know, it's a 4-4-2, and Moyes' likelihood of playing that is like slim to none. But pace and flair I think it would get us.

Barkley could go into Osman's role if you choose.

Lets be honest here how many were moaning this time last year when we were playing good stuff, spanking teams all over the show and getting sucker punched against the likes of the teams we have recently beaten.

Even if it's

Saha - Vellios

Drenthe - Fellaini - Osman/Rodwell - LD

Baines - Jags - Distin/Heitinga - Coleman/Hibbert

It's still ace as hell! Or that could turn out to be the later tactic or something, whatever. Both ideas sound great to me... hoping at least one becomes reality.

what you mean moaning about a slow start to a season?

ME I WAS!!

though cuz it was a one off i suppose i was out of order!

sorry Teflon dave i apologize for moaning about that one and only slow start to a season youre teams had!

Barkley is not ready mate yet he looked lost when he played for england the other week as he did when he has been used as a sub,he will be quality but not yet.
Where is the creativity in the midfield,we have nobody who will take players on and we are so slow in there thats why we are playing the way we are.
Drenthe looks tidy but needs players on the same wavelength as him for it to work properly.

LD was pretty good when he was here but I really can't understand this messiah status of his around here :)

Forget the messiah status at this point. He gives us another outlet by being a player that can play multiple positions.

LCAB has told us "IT'S ON." Which means it's got a viable chance of succeeding.

He suddenly gives us the ability to change up our formation, which is a big deal. He will be ready to slot into the starting XI. So how does that affect our game? That's the question we should be asking.

Folks have been looking for creativity and something to work with Drenthe on the flanks. We might now have it. Not do to the sudden arrival of 1 player, but the skill set he provides.
