... he doesn't start Vellios.

The highlighted line shows the contradiction here. If a player is performing, he should play. Saha isn't, Vellios is. No brainer.
We're not playing Barcelona. If he doesn't start Vellios tomorrow then I honestly believe he has lost the plot; it sends out a very, very bad message, which is no matter what you do when given the chance, I'm sticking with the status quo.

David Moyes has warned against throwing teenage striker Apostolos Vellios into the deep end, despite Everton's lack of goals.
The 19-year-old has been used mainly as an impact substitute since his switch from Iraklis, and has two goals from his six appearances from the bench.
But with the team struggling for goals, and Vellios still adjusting to life in the Premier League, the Everton chief is reluctant to place too much strain on his young shoulders.
Moyes, though, admits the Greek may have done enough in training and games to earn a starting berth.
Possibility
"He has got a possibility - he has scored goals and we are lacking goals at this moment in time," he said ahead of Sunday's game at Fulham.
"In short bursts, he has done very well. But he is young and it would be asking a lot at the moment.
"We see him every day in training and we can see what he is capable of and what he is not.
"He is certainly getting closer, because we need to get some goalscorers in the team.
"Tolos has come on and got us a couple of goals off the bench, but that might just be the best way for him until he gets a little bit more experienced and a little bit more used to it."
The inclusion of the Greek Under 21 international has helped to keep the rest of the forwards on their toes.
And Moyes believes the time has long since passed when players were guaranteed a place in his Toffees starting line-up.
"We've got competition," Moyes added. "We've got John Heitinga not in the side at the moment because of Sylvain (Distin) and (Phil) Jagielka - we have people who are quite capable of coming in.
"We all want that and I'd like more competition in other areas."
