Player Valuation: £10m
Moyes was right when he said look what Real Madrid did stumping up the money at the end of the season for Ronaldo,Which was the correct way to do buisiness. What i think he is trying to say is,What a gang of Twa*s Citeh & Hughes are buy offering money just before the end of the transfer window so we can,t buy anyone cos its to late and also upsetting there nearest rivals for 5th maybe 4th place in the league. WE SHALL OVERCOME(y)

that was my first thought about what Moyes said, however on reflection, I'm sure we were maintaining he wasn't for sale at any price, so I'm not sure the price was that clear. However City should have kept their mouths shut and done the business at board room level rather than unsettling the player meaning that for the first two prem league games we were paying a cb who had a negative impact on our team. cost us 6 points!, prem league should dock city the same.

I can't see what he's getting at to be honest.

He said all summer that Lescott wasn't for sale and that was that. City offered 15 million and kept upping there bid until we agreed on a price, that's what happens in football.

Unless I'm missing something. Moyes has only recently said that everyone has a price after Lescott acted like a big kid.

Unless City have tapped him up (which hasn't been proved yet, we'll wait and see on that one) then I can't see what they've done wrong. They've just bid for a player who they want.

We just need to regroup and move on. Put this sorry episode behind us and get pride back into wearing the shirt. Win and lose as a team. No player is bigger than my club. Players come and go.....COYB

Didn't we take Fellaini off Liege in the last hour of the transfer window too? Not very Real Madrid like behaviour.

he was without a doubt tapped up , imo he was tapped up in dubai and in the press and through his agent.

where did the fact he would double his wages come from ?
how come everyone knew this before a fee was even agreed ?
i tell you why , becouse man city told him , his agent and the world , to unsettle the player.

i hope the prem throw the book at man city.

Tapped up or not, the reality was there all along that lescott had no more desire to play for us. Holding him for so long and only coming out to say he is for sale if the price is right in late august is just naieve on moyes part. He had learn from Rooney's saga and yet he still fail to realise the reality of modern day player power. Nothing but short sighted imo.

Possibly, but that hasn't been proven as of yet. We really don't know the facts.

Yeah, I suppose Moyes will be sticking to his principles and not bringing new faces until the first week in january, then.
