Moyes got it right!

I only listened to it on the radio, but it sounded like we dominated the game. In his post-match analysis Moyes said that we created numerous chances. I can't say that I recall too many near misses apart from Yak's effort that was cleared off the line. It is hard to fathom Birmingham playing so defensively. I am pleased with the win and the overall performance though.

I questioned Ossie playing on the left, but it sounded like he was one of our better players. Like everyone, I was left shaking my head when Heitinga replaced the Yak. Both decisions went in Moyes's favour.

There are numerous positives to take from the game, such as wrecking Birmingham's long unbeaten run at home, recording a second successive clean sheet (away from home), scoring more than one goal and dumping the RS into the bottom three. Fingers crossed Blackpool put one over on them tomorrow to prevent them leapfrogging us in the league.

There must be question marks over Yak's fitness still.

You really are looking for excuses to defend Moyes are you not? Why not put Beckford on then? It is clear that Moyes wanted to go ultradefensive with the introduction of Heitinga, luckily for him his choice did not backfire as it has done in previous seasons.

Has Beckford shown any hint of being ready yet?

I'm one of his biggest supporters but I'd say no he's not. And it'll be Xmas onwards before he gets his [Poor language removed] together.

Excuses? Go on. You know you want to call me a "Moyes apologist". :dodgy:

Then why did Moyes buy him? You dont get ready by sitting on the bench and it just proves again that Moyes will rather put favorites in ackward positions then people who can actually play there.
If he will not use him why put him on the bench?

He didn't buy him. He signed him on a Bosman.

His "favourites". Moyes is ultra cautious - look at how long it took to get the best out of Fellaini. How he wouldn't throw Coleman in too quickly. How he's tried not to over play Rodwell.

How many times has Moyes said he's not wanting to just throw Beckford in.

Last time he played he missed a penalty ffs. He'll be trying to bring his confidence up again which takes time.

Impatience. Shows you nativity.

Ahh come on, he still signed him.

So how logical is it that Moyes tries to build his confidence by dropping him after starting him in the first couple of games. It was not Beckford's fault that we did not score he hardly got any service. However Backford is easier to drop than Osman or Distin who were not exactly dazzling with their performances. My point is still - if it still eludes you - that Moyes will rather put favorites in positions that they should not play that give those for whom the postion is natural a look in.

The squad is all Moyes', he has assembled it, yet Bilya, Gueye and Beckford are not even looked at when the left winger is injured or the striker is getting substituted.

I might be impatient, but blind thrust in Moyes and being unable to find anything wrong in what he is doing is plain stupid.

What the blazes has a Christmas play about the birth of Jesus got to with it.

Or am I showing my naivety?

Thanks, but it was Damon's that needed fixing.

I must refrain from commenting on Damons posts. He feels all picked on if i do. It's hard though. I've never been addicted to drugs, but i imagine this is like coming of heroin.
The urges are overwhelming, i have to punch holes in the door and stuff.
