I think I read that Chelsea have paid more on compensation to managers than Everton have 'net spent' in the transfer market during Moyes reign.

Anyway, I appear to have owned ths thread and sent Elton away, so can we lock this now mods and accept that :

MOYES IS GOD
25 more years please David

What date does his contract expire? 30 June? Plenty of time for this to drag on after season ends. Moyes has said he will not take a sabbatical so if no one comes in, presumably he will sign a new contract. The problem here is he is going to wait as long as possible before signing to see if any jobs come up. This means it will not be wrapped up quickly and this board of ours will not give him an ultimatum as they are petrified of losing him. Net result- weeks of rubbish in the press and massive uncertainty for all of us.

Kilbane was giving an interview recently in which he mentioned that he was talking to phil neville who said to him that part of the reason he was leaving was that he wanted to play under a new coach - which if true means that moyes will be staying................unfortunately

Big deal, you dont rate Moyes - however, do you know why he is running down his contract ? Its because he is a loyal manager who has always said that he will not break contracts
For someone who does not break contracts - the only option available is to have signed a new one mid season not knowing what plans Kenwright and his mickey mouse board have for moving us forward
What would you do in Moyes's position ? Sign a new contract and let kenwright sh!t on you again or take your time and try and force Kenwright's hand ?

I normally prefer McDonalds but this time I'll go to Burger King as I feel in the mood for a big whopper!

That post of yours above is the most deluded I've ever read on an Everton forum and indeed only old Kim Jong-Il of North Korea's claim to have hit 11 holes in one in his first ever game of golf is worse.

Moyes has run his contract down because he's a greedy money-grabber. Full stop.

Loyalty? If he'd signed a contract he'd then ensure Everton got compensation?

Don't bring Kenwright into this. He's stuck by Moyes through thick and thin.

Moyes runs the club from top to bottom. He's signed every player and determines the playing strategy for every team that wears our colours. So for him to come out with "I'll see how the team do and then make my decision" is beyond insulting to every right-minded Evertonian.

Is right.

Apart from the bit defending Kewnwright.

Well said that man!

Note I've taken the Kenwright sentence out though :P

I wasn't trying to defend him. My point is that after 11 years with the same chairman who seems to bend over backwards for him Moyes already knows what's what. This is all about Moyes.
