moyes decision

If anyone wants him presumably they'll make their move straightaway, so that gives us the closed season to get the replacement. If no-one wants him then that likewise will become evident very quickly. So either way there'll be a quick decision.

I think that Moyes has more or less already made up his mind about what he will do next. I think there are just a couple of things he wants clarification on, such as transfer funds, the direction the club is going in, etc, and as soon as he gets these I think the decision will be made.

I would say that if you could ask Moyes what his next move would be today he would already know what his answer will be.

Moyes has said all along that qualification for Europe and a substansial transfer kitty would be the factors deciding his staying or not.

Qualification for Europa has gone, we won´t get 5th and Moyes knows it, so if he is to stay the money he gets to put into recruitment has to be large indeed, I´d think all of what Fellaini goes for plus an additional 15 mil at least.

Does anyone really think that'll be sorted quick?

Moyes will eek it out to the death waiting to see if a club comes in for him. He hasn't run down that contract for no reason. The summer months is what he's fought tooth and nail for regarding arriving at a decision. He's not going to come out the day after the Chelsea game and state what's happening. That day marks the beginning of the process.

We'll end up with a drawn out pre-season and another threadbare squad if we're not careful.

Big deal, you dont rate Moyes - however, do you know why he is running down his contract ? Its because he is a loyal manager who has always said that he will not break contracts
For someone who does not break contracts - the only option available is to have signed a new one mid season not knowing what plans Kenwright and his mickey mouse board have for moving us forward
What would you do in Moyes's position ? Sign a new contract and let kenwright sh!t on you again or take your time and try and force Kenwright's hand ?

Sense at last!!

It's funny how the usual suspects who are against moyes in general wont open their eyes at all to the fact that moyes wants assurances about "money" and "where the club is going" before he commits yet again...

Pretty sure it's common knowledge amongst them in the know that a lot of promises were broken open his last contract renewal 5yrs ago!

This is not about moyes keeping his options open to a bigger club. It's about wanting to be able to progress..and ideally I'm sure he wants to do it with Everton. However if he's thinking its gonna be a case of breaking his team up and just plugging gaps whilst no money is made available from fellaini sale or tv money, well can you blame him for moving on.

Basically once the board signal there intentions...so will moyes!!
Originally was gonna be after jan until the epic fail in the transfer window..so he's postponed until season end. I think anyone looking with an open mind can see what most likely is going on here

I'm not having a go here at moyes but he had a contract at Preston and we paid compensation when we signed him however he left with a contract still in place .

Early days champions league & then even europa was mentioned along with money , we'll not qualify now so if he stays we can expect a substantial transfer kitty on top of what we sell do you think mate ? I personally doubt that will happen so what would that tell us if he stayed ?

Yeah, because Moyes has always driven a hard bargain with the board in the past and got cash out of them.

He's been told what he'll get already. What's going to change between now and the summer substantially on that front? Do you think the board are going to shrug and say, "Ok, Dave, you win. Here's another £10M for the pot"?

He's waiting to the last minute to see what's out there. TBH, I dont blame him. He's taken it every which way from this board for 11 years. I'm sure he feels he's earned the right to wait and see if an offer comes along whilst he's still free to frig off for no compensation to his potential new employers.

If he stayed with no substantial money? Then Bill and Moyes will have mugged off the fanbase again and got away with it again.

Basically.

We give him yet another pay rise after this season's failiures and I'm going ape****.

He will get a pay rise, you know it, I know it, Moyes knows it.

Who was the last person who signed a new contract for less money? And you can ignore people who move to new Clubs and are over 30.

I reckon hes looking at 100k a week.

That's the likely outcome if and when Moyes fails to get his new club.

It'll be sold as Moyes turning to the academy and a new adventure blah blah blah brave new dawn and exciting times ahead yada yada yada..

We have the club we deserve lads. You want to change it stop going the game or sign up with KEIOC etc or form your own preassure group to oppose the current owners.
