forever everton

Player Valuation: £750k
Whats peoples opinions ? How quick/long do you think its going to take for him to sit down with kenwright and make his decision ? The worry for me is in typical everton fashion it will rumble on all summer with no decision made either way. For me a decision needs to be made by the end of May or early June so either he can get on with the job and get new players in or we can get a new manager in with time to get ready for the new season.

I am sure the decision will be quick, and I am expecting the worst. It will be like the day Alan Ball left. There is no way in the world we will get some one as good as Moyes again.

He will have made up his mind as we type, I guess.

The club will choose to communicate is decision whenever they have a replacement lined up, should DM leave.

It should be pretty swift, as EFC can still attract managers - wether it will be someone we will applaud is a different story...

It needs to be concluded on the final game of the season, we need to get a new manager and he needs to sell our better players...

I really do think moyes has everton's as well as own best interests at heart. He wants insurances he can move it forward. That will be decided pretty quick once the season finishes. If he doesn't get them assurances I'd imagine he'll be off pretty quick! Club or no club to go to.

Well since he changed his mind to the end of the season there's really no excuse for not having a decision made within 2 weeks of the season ending.

Does anyone really think that'll be sorted quick?

Moyes will eek it out to the death waiting to see if a club comes in for him. He hasn't run down that contract for no reason. The summer months is what he's fought tooth and nail for regarding arriving at a decision. He's not going to come out the day after the Chelsea game and state what's happening. That day marks the beginning of the process.

We'll end up with a drawn out pre-season and another threadbare squad if we're not careful.

Come on Davek, William Kenwright will ensure we're not left in the lurch.

He'll drag it out like Martinez did at Wigan (after the Liverpool interview) before signing his 3 year deal.

It will be a decision that's already made and communicated within. After the Chelsea game we will know....especially if DM is signing a new contract. Equally, if he is signing-off they will not make that announcement until Wigan, and more precisely Roberto Martinez, know if they retain Premier League status and are winners or runners up in the FA Cup.
I hope Moyes stays because despite some of the 'lows' during his tenure we have undoubtedly become a much better, stronger and better positioned team....and I for one would like to see if, with perhaps £20M a year he can make that final step to Champions League qualification. If not, I have no major concerns with the arrival of Martinezmpurely as we'll see a different mentality and approach at GP and away from home.
