The seasons finished and we managed to stay 5th, so more UEFA cup next year. Moyes sits down with Kenwright to discuss what happens from there.

How much realistically should Moyes ask for to improve the squad before he signs?

As in, how much per year he will receive for the next 5 years.

Depends on how well he's done, if we get fifth and are in the UEFA cup I'd like to see him get 20 Million, if we're in the champions league I'd like to see more 25-30 preferably. if we're not in Europe and finished mid-table then about 10-15 million.

so either way he'll get backed with money it'll be interesting to see what he does with it because what he does on a shoestring is just short of miracle working.
 
I think Moyes will get £30 Million to spend this coming season, Moyes has told Kenwirght that he needs money, he has shown what he can do with a little bit of money. If Kenwright put more money in, a champion league place is far more likely.

Also what does everyone think about Moyes going to Celtic? Theres an article on setanta sports about it...it could happen if Kenwright isn't kind with the money...

nah I doubt it, Moyes is building a team here he wouldn't want to leave so someone else can reep the benefits of the foundations built by him.

I think it'll be towards the end of his Managerial career that he'll join one of the old firm clubs.
 

Celtic is a funny one. There is no money in the Scottish game but the chance to take Celtic back above Rangers and compete in the Champions League would be enticing. However, the plusses are that he seems as if he's at Everton for the long haul and he wants to build further.
 
I think Moyes will get around £15m to spend if we end up where we are (that's after using X amount to buy Pienaar) - now considering the current climate in terms of prices for players, that's not a helluva lot...
 

If we don't get 25 million at least this season, Kenwright can [Poor language removed] off.
 
He will get what the club can afford. The world economies are heading into recession so luxury items are first to feel that effect...............he knows what he's doing, it is not monopoly money they are playing with, the club has to survive as well

Ok, we will see where we are because Kenwright can't afford to give us the money.

A massive, massive point is - he's got to give us the money to stay where we are, let alone progress.
 
We need at least 20m+ if not we will fall behind. Because you just know the top 3 plus l'pool,city,villa,spurs an newcastle will all spend big then you have pompy an b'burn to compete with.

If moyes aint given the money, we could fall well short next year. We have the nuclease of a great team. But we need to add quality in deapth to the squad. rb,gk,dm,cm,lw,cf need to be brought in.
