Like BK and the board care about any of that. Moyes balances the books with no budget, makes no waves and keeps the fans happy. They could give one how much he fails on the pitch as long as he produces the players who can be sold for the ten million pound profit that keeps the banks of our backs.

And Moyes knows his bargaining position too, which is why a trophyless manager is near the top of the pile in terms of salary out of all managers globally. He's the man that ensures that tens of millions of pounds of tv cash comes in each year - shaving off £3-4M for him is good policy. Everyone's happy....unless you want silverware.
