Moyes after three

Moyes before this season, "I think in my time at Everton we've now got as strong a squad as we've ever had so I'm looking forward to it (the coming season). I'm looking forward to having a season with them and seeing how it goes."

Now he's desperate for 3 loan signings in January. :p

Good point.

Boom!

So I'm guessing he's wanting a 4th striker, a pacy winger he shouldve bought seasons ago, and a back up centre half if heitinga goes.

Cue the centre half being in the loan shape of a Anthony Gardner or senderos.

I know we've mentioned a Krancjar or Keane swap for Pienaar, but how about Bentley? Alright, he's not the pacy winger we've been looking for, but his delivery into the box and set pieces would add to our attacking threat. We do have Bily and Gueye to cover on the left for the inevitable departure of Peanuts.

Don't see much wrong in that statement tbh. Think the majority of Evertonians worldwide was satisfied with the squad we had on paper. I expected a great season, with Everton fighting for a top 4 spot. Everyone was over the moon when we secured our most important players on long contracts and most of us (me included) didn't really see the need of signings, although securing Donovan would have been sensational. 4 months on and the season clearly hasn't delivered what we expected. I'm sure Moyes agrees with that. So, what's wrong with coming out a few weeks before the transferwindow opens and admitting you want to bring in a few extra bodies?

He would have expected much more out of Yakubu and Saha. The right side was always a weakness though. On the whole I'd send Arteta out to the right and stick with Fellaini and Rodwell in the middle. They look like our strongest pairing. With Cahill away on international duty, I'd try Mikel behind the front man. We have a puzzle to solve trying to fit all our best players in as it is, before we bring in loanees.

The point I'm trying to make is, has Moyes utilized his 'strongest squad ever' well enough (this season) to bring out its full potential? Even if we do loan a few players, we will still have Neville playing at right-back, substitutions made way too late, all eleven men defending a corner despite chasing the game, I can go on and on. Is it possible to get a new manager on loan?

What a thoroughly depressing read that is.

We are a club, according to the manager, that can offer players a way of developing their game (presumably to move on to better things), and the emphasis is on wage control now (which will make it even harder for Everton to attract quality players in...if the cash was there to buy them with recycled money from player sales in the first place, of course).

I wish this feller would grow a pair and demand investment. Or maybe he's happy to sit on his £3M pa wage and manage a Premier League team without confronting his board of directors? I'm begining to severely question this man's ambitions for Everton. We're going through the motions here. He has to act.

Why are we always skint, yet compete in the most lucrative league in the world, and have had top 10 finishes for nearly 5 years.

Something stinks here.
