So ..... bare with me a minute. If you compare market value of a player against what the club supporters' feel they'd need to get to feel OK about selling that player, you can get a pretty decent feel of that player's relative value to the club. For example:

Market Club Value
Baines 15M 23M 8
Neville .5M good at scaring crows/pointing -.4M
Fellaini 27M 30M 3M

So who do you think is our most "valuable" player? Baines? Surprisingly, due to his age, I think Distin comes out looking pretty good thinking about it this way.
