Most embarrassing night as an Everton fan?

The most embarassing night was the 4-0drubbing at the gobshytes the other week was as bad as it gets it could and should have been double figures, thing is tho i expected a hammering ive never gone into a derby feeling so un-confident ever, the reason being we have no fight no spirit. if the season was ,2/3rds of the way through now we would be in a relegation fight with out any chance of getting out. My worst night as a blue will happen if roberto doesnt go.my worst period as an evertonian has been these last few months just feel more deflated after every game.were Predictable Its like groundhog day every game every result and the way we play just different oppisition.

Nice one zzebra. I too remember that awful game on a dreary cold night.Who'd have thought that win was a step towards the Milk Cup final?
Dark days indeed but we all know what was just around the corner don't we?
That's what's so good about being a Blue and, despite the awful season we've had,I wouldn't swap being a Blue for anything;we are a truly fantastic club and let's not forget that!

Yes.I remember that.

They were dark days playing in front of 13000s.

It's difficult to believe what was around the corner a couple of months later.

People talk about Kevin Brock's backpass as the catalyst but I remember a game that season that had we not won we would never have even got anywhere near Oxford.

It was the second or third round of the Milk Cup at Goodison midweek against Coventry in front of 8000 and zero atmosphere.

We were absolutely appalling! Coventry' scored and we were totally out of sorts.

Somehow against the run of play, out of nowhere Heath(?) got a very late equaliser.Sharp was injured and limping badly but had to stay on as we had used our sub.He only headed in a corner in injury time!! I remember going berserk in the Gladys Street!

That was the game that taught me to never leave a game before the final whistle. Me old man made us leave 5 minutes before the end when we were losing 1-0. Although I must admit, hearing the roar of a goal from outside is something else.

Obvious liverpool ones already quoted above.can tolerate being outplayed but feel embarrassed when we dont show up. Those big losses to arsenal stick out but for some reason remember getting smashed by cov city 4 or 5-1 away in the cup during the cadamarteri days. Didn't turn up and got humiliated by a much inferior team.was Walter in charge?

This season has been so utterly embarassing that I'm kinda numb to it all now, so tonight not really at all by now. Martinez is a dead man walking, that much is crystal clear. It's no surprise we are so poor, as we cannot do the hard thing and sack the idiot responsible, why should we expect anything else?

It wasnt a night game but nothing could ever match the utter despair i felt when we handed Liverpool what should have been our double that black day at wembley! It was like I'd had all the joy torn out of my heart! Walking back to the train with my arm around some old guy in his 70's who was crying like a baby! Absolutely ruined me that, and it was a feeling of such abject misery and embarrassment that It could (thankfully) never be equalled! I have had some moments of absolute bliss as an Everton supporter, but that day took the shine off all of them, thats how bad it was!

Hours later and it still doesn't even come close to the embarrassment of the Tranmere game. Such shame! For those of you who don't remember it, think yourself lucky! It was as close as I've come to actually weeping with shame at the match and would take an almost superhuman effort to replace it. Nothing will ever come close to this! Hopefully not anyway! :(
