I've watched pretty much every episode of The Apprentice and if there's one thing I've learnt from all those talented business men and women is that you never accept the first offer. So cunningly, to fool the seller, they go in with a low bid and then pretend to be shocked when it's turned down. It's then when their plan comes into action as they wait for a bit to make out they're not arsed and then come back with a slightly bigger offer. In the meantime the seller has started to panic and will automatically accept whatever the next one is.

They are being silly, if you dont want to play a player his value drops regardless of how good he may be, if they think he is still worth what they paid I hope we tell them to do one. Unfortunatly they dont need the money, if nothing is doing we just need to move on quick.

that was my thinking at the start, but i suppose with the increase in fees this season, it technically is acting as that gap, so £24m now is not the same as the £24m united paid at the time

think the board need to spend now because our squad is so fragile ha. I can't get my hopes up like i did in the summer, only to have them dashed, thankfully the players we're after seem less fancy and more gettable. Fingers crossed anyway.

There are some basic fundamentals in negotiation, but if you want something done QUICKLY, there needs to be some leverage to do so. Man U have no sense of urgency to sell Schneiderlin or anyone, really. So if we want him in the club QUICKLY, they need to up the ante and get it done.

Frankly, the impact to the club will be immediate and significant IMO. We cannot afford to sit around for any more games if we want to push for Europe. The deal needs to be made immediately.
