I was thinking this earlier, but honestly I'd play Holgate as a 6. I still think hes the best 6 we have, by a reasonable distance too.

I think he played there once last year and got sent off inside only a few minutes of coming on.

Hes an average defender and a really bad midfield player.

Hes not good on the ball. But Davies is untrustworthy on the ball (I wouldn't say as bad as Holgate, but I'd say over confident). Doucoure is bad on the ball.

The fact a half fit Delph made a huge difference indicates what the level we have is.

Think if u want to compare these two stays you would have to remove Gordon's breakout season last year.

MGW just had his breakout season. It happened to be in the championship. So not including that into comparison you have to remove Gordon's breakout season. I know the one is the prem and the other is the Champs but not his fault he leveled up in the championship

Played the 6 mate, and did ok.

I dont think Gomes, Davies etc in the 6 are very good. Personal preference I suppose. Those 2 lack the mobility IMO.

You're behaving like Gordon is the next Harry Kane.
Your sole argument is based on goals scored. Just 3 more of them. Today's players need a bit more than that and from what I've seen, MGW has plenty of talent but needs the right system to benefit from it. Put him in that and he could score a couple of goals a game.

MGW just had his breakout season. It happened to be in the championship. So not including that into comparison you have to remove Gordon's breakout season. I know the one is the prem and the other is the Champs but not his fault he leveled up in the championship

Well I'm just including the seasons both have had in the top flight. Gordon is over a year younger too so he may break out again.

I'm not knocking Gibbs, but it's easy to see why, objectively, Gordon is seen as a lot more valuable. Obviously if people watch both more closely, they can perhaps make a case that theh are equal.

I like MGW, but would want more for Gordon than what we paid for him. Gordon is one of the best young players in the league.

When it worked it was because we quite literally launched the ball at DCL's head immediately every time and despite that the suggestion always comes back.

For the record I dont think Gordon will be the next Harry Kane, but he looks a very special talent to me. One of the top young players in the country for sure. Maybe Gibbs White is too, if we can get him, I certainly hope so!
