For anyone who doesn't want to read the whole thing, here are the main bits:
Basically because Monaco's players will now have to pay the income tax they are likely to be wanting more money from the club, money which will have to come straight out of the owners pocket because of a lousy turnover.

This week the future of AS Monaco was dealt a huge blow as the Ligue 1 sides unanimously decided that any side playing in the top flight of French football, must abide by French financial laws
Under French tax law high income earners are required to pay 75% of their income as tax, meaning that clubs will have to pay a lot more to attract top players
As it stands in Monaco there is no tax on income which makes it easier for the club to pay higher wages as they are unaffected by the same problems which face the majority of other French clubs.
Despite their relegation to Ligue 2 last season they still spent more money in the summer (20 million euros) than any other team in the French top flight and more money than the rest of the teams in Ligue 2 combined.
All clubs playing in the French top flight must have a fiscal residence in France.
They are not a well supported club and attendances are low so there will not be a point in the foreseeable future when their turnover will be substantial enough to afford the wage bill.
