Moise Kean

Soft sending off. Looked to be playing fairly well before it. Seemed to be involved and is clearly starting to build some connections with other players. Shame that he couldn't control his temper as ruined all the work he had done.

I will admit I over reacted in my initial comments last night.
More out of frustration than anything else as we were down to 10 men, under the cosh and looking like we were going to be on the end of an embarrassing defeat.

Kean has also been yet another car crash of a signing for Everton, so a bit of frustration involved in that too.
Hope he can turn his fortunes around with Everton, but it’s very hard to imagine that happening.

….surprised posters are blaming the ref rather than blaming Kean for a ridiculously petulant reaction to a nothing challenge. Fortunately we still managed to go through despite him letting his team down.

Have to say, my reaction was ‘what the hell is he doing’ when we broke in such a promising position. Madness.
I wonder how many times Ferguson 'let the team down' in his playing days.

Absolute ladies handbags stuff.
But thats the game now.

…if you’re a striker, you are honestly concentrated on that breakaway. You’re busting a gut to get around the box.

Shows his mentality that he preferred to confront an opponent for a nothing collision. Defenders will see that & realise he can be easily wound up. The red card is not the issue here, its Kean being an idiot.

Ah every player in the history of football has reacted at some point.
Im not a fan of his but im not going to slaughter him over this one.
Soft red.

Benitez on Moise Kean’s red card: “He is a young player and has to learn from it"

No doubt.

Stupid.

Reacted to nothing, gave the ref - a weak ref - an easy decision. Soft or not, it's a red card as a result of petulance. That's why Everton wouldn't even think of appealing it - we'd never win an appeal.
