Needs a loan then.

I actually think compromise may be a loan if its a good loan, with a decent fee and wages paid. We probably win all ways round, he will improve and will be in the shop window. I sense it may go the way of Lookman, where he won't want to come back, but you never know. Either way, had we have sold Lookman immediately after the loan, we'd have got £30m for him, so in the end it worked.

I love it when you make out like it’s other people who don’t understand football. Bless you for trying. I don’t mean his movement in the 6 yard box, that isn’t bad, I mean his movement for the other 90 minutes of the game. He’s constantly behind the play, not making the runs that create space and never knowing whether to drop off or go in behind. It’s like playing centre forward by numbers. He’s a talented lad clearly, but he won’t make it here if he doesn’t improve that aspect of his game tenfold.

He posts the same about iwobi. Nobody else can see what he see's because his football knowledge is superior to every one else on this forum.
I dont know why we aint paying this lad for the lessons on football that he is quite clearly giving for free.
We're so lucky.

lol I’ve always backed Dom from the start. Funny you trying to use DCL’s success as justification for kean when last year you were constantly claiming kean was miles better. At least stick to your own narrative. Time to change the posters on your wall it would seem.
Congrats to you for that. But as I said I'm not really able to remember every poster's positions, just the general nature of the posting.

I still think Kean has a higher ceiling than Dom. Not that I don't rate Calvert-Lewin, but Kean's ability to run with the ball could set him apart. If I said he was miles better last fall I regret that but I will stand by the potential part, Kean has more.

Or maybe the lesson is that young players get better and we shouldn't flip out every time they don't look perfect. It could be that. I'm sure that guys like Nkounkou and Gordon will have off days. Hell Richarlison and Dom still had them last year.

I'm not sure if you were around while we were getting spanked all over the league while we had no scoring strikers, but there was quite a lot of well-warranted flipping out. Allardyce ended up as our manager. Great fun.

There were larger problems than the striker in that team. We had no scoring strikers in Marco's first season too.

After the rocky end to last season I think Dom's leash should be fairly short. Obviously he scored Sunday so he's going to have the next 3-5 games but if he isn't sitting on 3 or 4 goals at the end of that I'd be prepared to start Kean and/or move Richarlison central and start Gordon.

I think the whole team know they won't get a run of 4 or 5 bad games. In many ways, I hope he is dropped after not scoring in 4 or 5, get him out of the firing line and have him play himself back into form.

That being said, I tihnk him and Richarlinson gets around 17-18 each this season.

If you can't see that DCL contributes more than goals to this team you maybe better off watching gridiron.

Kean thinking to himself before that pen: "I'll take this pen and strengthen my weakened position here by getting a goal and underlining my credibility to the doubters".

Then....

It's such a lazy comparison but I agree. A key difference being Lukaku joined us with over 100 first team appearances across the various clubs he was at. Kean I think had 30 before last season. I think we have to persevere to be honest.

He did have more first team games. He was a lot more ready though.
