Mrs R, who pays at best a passing interest in football, didnt actually believe me when I told her that Brazils and Italys young forwards were at Everton.

Its actually a bit mad when you think about it. Some lad posted sommet I have been mulling today; what odds could you get that 2 Everton players will start the WC final on opposing sides! Bit OTT granted, but hell, whats not to like?

Well unless you expected us to sign 4 players in the 2 days following your initial post, I don't know how you can justify both statements.

This is how the modern game works Dave. Brands is good, but he can't work miracles. Many of these negotiations take weeks/months to conclude and are reliant on linked transactions going through too.

....pre-season matches serve a purpose but you can only truly judge after a decent period of competitive games.

Could happen. He's a striker who likes to be around the 6 yard box. We provide the service and he'll score.
