They try their hardest to stir things up to generate clicks and then criticize teams for sacking managers, as if they're not the ones turning the fans against them in the first place.
Even the BBC sport website has an article about how Everton has turned into a soap opera right now, just after their writers spent weeks trying to provoke Silva's sacking
Yup. And fans get caught up in it. I swear some fans would like a manager change after two or three defeats.
You'd think we were playing a computer game or idly shopping online or something.

I would have to put this first. We need to start winning the best entertainment is winning and more we win bigger the chance of winning trophies, the more entertainment for me. Once we have achieved something that matters on the football pitch then we can move on to substance and style.

There was a leaflet campaign to get him out. Boxing day 1983, Mike England was being touted in the press as his successor, was sat in the directors box.
We drew 0-0, then lost away.we were 16th out of 22
Then came the Stoke cup game, which we won
The next week we played them away drew 1-1 and were 18th out of 22
So similar but not exact the same circumstances.
