For my work phone i was given a Samsung C version of the blackbury. And to be honest it's one of the worst phones iv ever had. So many problams it's untrue. Iv just got on to the provider and swaped it for this.....

Has anyone had this phone. It's a Smart phone instead of a windows phone. It's ment to be batter, is it..??

Any info on it..?

Taar cats!!

Well it runs Nokia's phone OS, Symbian I think it is called, rather than Windows Mobile.

And I don't think the Samsung you had could be classed as a version of a Blackberry. It might have looked similar, but that is as far as the similarities go.

had a couple of p-series sony ericcssonnnnnnnnns previously that were symbian, wasn't that impressed tbh, but it was about 6 years ago and full touch screen with handwriting rec an all that, had xl and word, quite advanced at the time and still good as a media player, the 2nd one was wifi as well (got a brand new one unopened off insurance p990i).

android for me though next, waiting for a call back to say when they get the htc legend before i upgrade (april 1st i think)

Check out WinMo 7 before you jump on the Android train. It actually looks to be a very, very decent phone OS, unlike the train-wreck that has been WinMo before hand.

been offered one of these, it's a bit like my daughters tocco lite tbh.

when people learn English they pick up the accent and mannerisms of their teacher, interspersed with the english accent that people in their homeland speak.

he talks of navgayshon and bootonz

that there is a bi-sexual dutchman who's wearing a buttplug, that has learned english in a korean language school.

finally sorted a new phone out.

now I know there are new ones due from htc but tbh I've got sick of waiting and paying too much per month in the meantime.

so, I've gone for a HTC Hero on orange, £10 per month, 400 mins, 300 txts, unlimited landlines, unlimited internet. 18 month contract.

now i have had signal issues previously, but if this persists then i will bung a voda card in another phone which my landline will divert to and that will eradicate 90-95% of that problem (i.e. the diverted calls that i lose)

all in all I reckon thats a pretty good deal for a tenner.

*awaits danny to tell me otherwise and talk about bolts and stuff, and phones that don't get interference from hairdryers and GHD's.

How the **** did you get that for a tenner reids? arguing on the phone? That is pretty much exactly the deal I want. Did you have the phone already or get it with the contract?

I'm with orange, here's how I did it , although Ive held off for a while waiting for the desire or legend, but in the meantime out of contract for 4 months and forking out £35 a month, so i pointed out that they have been getting a good deal from me since december.

go through to the 'i'm thinkiing of leaving orange dept.'
say that you are thinking of flicking them off, (i said cos signal is pish)

they tried to get me to have a blackberry that is uma and connects to your wireless router to get a signal (still comes off your plan though unlike dylans in the u.s).

I said i didnt like them and then showed an interest in the hero........but it's not uma sir !!

i can live with that tbh as i have for the last 6 years, so how much.

we can do that for £15 (still very good deal)

I held out and then on the next call the guy offered it for a tenner. I didnt take it cos I had rang about the desire or legend (although I know it's gonna be £30 at least for that)

yesterday I rang and they wouldnt play, they wanted £15, I said no.
today I rang back and got through to a lovely geordie lass who was willing to give me what I wanted i.e.for £10.

I reckon the 1 yesterday was a ladder climber who wanted to extract as much as poss to kiss some bosses arse, whereas the 1 today didnt really give a flying, they tell me that what they can offer changes daily, so basically it pays to put the phone down and ring back next day, everyone gets loyalty points as well so it depends where you are with them, the 1st guy to offer it for a tenner reckoned I wouldnt ever have to pay for a handset cos of my points rating, it would just be the oprice of the plan that would alter.
I didnt have internet on my other phone so they are giving me that for free, cos i'm kind of a new customer on that score (it's £5 otherwise).

All in all a top deal really, I mean £10 ffs.. It's worth that just for the unlimited landlines.

like I say, if i still have signal issues at home then I'll grab a voda sim to use for diverting to in another phone, as most of my calls go through my landline, I just leave it turned on divert cos I forget to turn it on when I go out and it cant be done remotely, apparently I can have it where it will divert after 6 rings or however many I set, so i'm gonna try that for a while, that way when I'm in I can pick it up and save running that bill up with calls to my mobile.

I might feck virgin off now and just get broadband off them for a tenner, as they get about £48 off me, I dont need a landline and i fancy 1 of those starview jobbies, and I saw a Hd one for £150, so if I save 36 a month on that I can have a 'box' and a hd telly (not the best available admittedly) and over a year it'll almost pay for itself.

I could of course sell the hero, buy a sim free desire and still be getting it all for less than they would charge me, but I'm happy as larry with this for £10.
