Zlatan wins it 4-3. LAFC might as well shut it down or move out of town, they just got Chivas USA’d.

I was at the game some spectacle.

Not sure how LAFC will fair fan wise once they have their first home game in a few weeks but they did have decent support in the stubhub, very vocal.

The fans apparently they have were those of Chivas USA who obviously dislike the Galaxy haha!!

Friends of mine who live in LA reckon the LAFC marketing department are aiming at being the peoples club haha!! Judging by those who support them that's exactly what they are getting.

As for the team decent so far 2 wins and a loss.

I am no FC Dallas fan but I’ll probably go out there to see Zlatan next month.

So LAFC is just a less Mexican version of Chivas? Pretty racist there, but MLS has gone pretty far out of its way to alienate Hispanic fanbases so I guess it’s par for the course.

Funnily enough its owned by celebrities. Will Ferrell is a part owner as is Mia Hamm and a bunch of other celebs. Oh and Cardiff City's owner Vincent Tan also.

I guess they see the only way to get fans is to entice the people who want soccer and who hate the galaxy. Which would be the Chivas US fans for sure.

The majority of Chivas USA fans were and are Hispanic. I think they are aiming it at them and the Hispanic base in Los Angeles. A large number of the Hispanics don't like the Galaxy so much so that it made the Galaxy rethink its marketing and outreach and now they have been successful in gaining support and trust from them.

You really won't succeed as a soccer team in LA if you don't have Latin Americans coming to your games.

LAFC will follow in their footsteps. Take a look at their supporters page and promo video its primarily hispanic. Looks like they are successful thus far enticing them in. Although their first home game should be interesting attendance wise

Gonna try and get into this this summer (apart from during the World Cup). The summer timing is handy, could go a whole year without a break in football

Montreal Impact under Villa legend Remi Garde have been poor. Losing at home to 10-Man galaxy. Reminding me of the worst times of us under Roberto

Tyler Adams, 19 year old American midfielder, apparently set for a move to Leipzig from NYRB. Big step up but he’s a really good player.

The way Red Bull have structures their clubs is brilliant in my mind.

That will eventually harm football in general and leave it in the hands of the rich, and the companies.
It’s not disruption - it’s just aggressively capitalist
By definition it is disruptive, especially if what you predict happens.

I’m not saying it’s a good thing. But it was a brilliant move for them to do it this way.
