If you were watching the Houston feed on MLS Direct Kick, that was our Glenn Davis.

The stream online I found was on a local Seattle station and I found out that the announcer was Arlo White, who used to do cricket for the BBC. Seattle have hired him for TV & radio. Really random, but I really enjoyed listening to him. He called it 'footbal' too :)

Yeah, the Dynamo really never threatened the goal and we can pretty much kiss our playoff chances goodbye. In addition, lots of old legs in the squad. I think we'll see some major turnover after this season.

Oof, yeah, sorry. I don't really know many of your players but I like Pat Onstad, I saw him play several games for San Jose with Landon Donovan. Brian Ching is all right too. You guys must be disappointed but yeah I'm pleased for Seattle. Funny how much better they look without Ljungberg.

Keller was credited with an assist on the first goal, by the way! Class..

Watching the Red Bulls again. They lead Preki's (!) Toronto FC 1-0. New York is such an exciting team to watch these days. Angel and Henry complement each other beautifully.

I don't know much about Toronto so I don't have anything to say about them, but I have some affection for Preki for his goal in our glorious 1-0 victory over Brazil in 1998. I'll never get over how amazing that game was :)

They're gonna get better as they learn each others games and as Henry gets up to full fitness. Scary really.

The good thing about this version of the Red Bulls, is that they have some very decent complimentary talent surrounding the 3 DPs.

They are a lot better side compared to seasons in the past, Preki has done one hell of job there.

Well the Dynamo travel to NE (two teams that are decidedly mediocre this season) to take on the Revolution. My heart says 1-1 but my head says we lose this one too, 2-0.

That said, I'll more than likely turn into the marquee matchup of the weekend, LA Galaxy travel to play the NY Red Bulls. Should be a tasty affair.

I'll be down at the NE-Houston match for once (could only afford a 4-pack, not full season tickets this year....) We can't tell if the Revs completely suck, suck, or just suck a little this year. There are signs they are improving and may only suck a little by the end of the year. Gah.

On the other hand, if Bob Kraft is going to low-ball the players on his NFL team (most cornerbacks, Logan Mankins, arguably Tom Brady), there's little hope for his MLS club....

Well, I was close.

1-0 to the Revs. Good news is that you guys keep in this form and you could get into the playoffs and make some noise.

The Dynamo? We're done. We were done after losing at home to expansion Philly. I just don't think anyone saw it at the time. Big time roster overhaul coming.

On a brighter note, the NY vs. LA match was enjoyable to watch.

Not sure what good prospects Houston has.

Losing 5-0 to Salt Lake seems to have been the low point for the Revs. I didn't tape the LA-NY game so I have no idea how it looked.

I guess Geoff Cameron is a player that the team can be built around. He's better for us at CB vs. AM. We have some young players too but I don't think they could be considered in the mold of some of the brighter young guys in the league. Danny Cruz is about as close as we can get and he's still a work in progress.

Thought about heading down for that match, but a 2 hour drive home after an 8pm start time didn't really sit too well with me.

Did watch a lot of the match. Stolica took his goal well, I think he'll have a lot to offer them up front. He genuinely seems like he enjoys the club as well.

He did take the goal well.

I felt our keeper might have done better on that but I might be biased so I need a little outside perspective. Did you think he reacted late or it was just a well taken goal. I thought it was a good goal but Hall seems to react late.

I think it would have been a tough save. It's tough to read a volley like that. He probably reacted to the initial Nyassi shot, which turned out to be a nice pass...I thought Hall was decent otherwise.

In other news, San Jose signed Geovanni. He'll be great at first, start next season, and be out of MLS by May.

That's what I thought but I didn't want to be too hard on the kid.

I think the Geovanni signing could be good provided he stays motivated. Don't know if he'll will be or not. If he plays like he can, then it's a big win for SJ.
