And then the Rockies came to the 7th inning - 45 minutes!

In that disastrous, seemingly never-ending half-inning that lasted nearly 45 minutes, Jake McGee, Scott Oberg and Antonio Senzatela were roughed up for nine runs on eight hits while also issuing four walks. (https://www.denverpost.com/2018/04/23/colorado-rockies-san-diego-padres-blowout/)

The joys of having the Rockies at home.

@steveojcc I hope you are enjoying this.

That was some inning haha!!

Pity the fans that sat through that it looked cold and windy there.

I bet the padres don't win either of the next two haha!!

Sorry. Either you root for FSG or some evil hybrid of Chelsea and Man U. (Think United's past success with modern Chelsea's approach and NYC being America's London equiv.)

No win for you blue scousers.

PJ Conlon a Belfast born lad made his debut for the Mets last night. He is a pitcher. He is the first Irishman in 70 plus years and first Northern Irishman in 100 plus years.

His Family moved to New York when he was 2.

Incidentally he went to University here in San Diego.

Didn't have the greatest of nights but got his first hit. They reckon he will go back to the minors as they have no roster room. He was called up because of de Groms injury

London games announced for next year today..

Will that really work over here ?

Given that it's the Yankees and Red Sox i would say yes. They have had great attendances for other games outside of the US. The Dodgers and Padres played actual sellouts (not US sellouts whereas as its defined by tickets sold not people through turnstiles) for 3 nights just recently in Mexico.

If they're going to try, these are the two teams that should be there. Their history and legend in American baseball history is amazing - and the depth and breadth of the love and hate that they have for each other, and that their fans have for each other, is deeper and wider than the ocean.

This will be the first time these two teams have played a game (that counts in the standings) anywhere besides New York or Boston.

That would be fun to see.

Only feasible teams realistically are

LA Dodgers, Yankees, Red Sox, Mets and maybe the Giants for me.

The New York teams are huge for that reason, and everyone knows the Dodgers, Cubs and Red Sox.

Typical as a Mets fan that they bring over the Red Sox and the Yankees.

It's almost Deja Vu, for when they brought the Giants-Dolphins over for the NFL, typical as a Jets fan.

Will probably make an effort to go, provided they aren't 8pm KO games, and actually more 6pm or earlier of a weekend. Or do i try and play devil's advocate and try and wait until they bring over the Mets?

Hellish series in St Louis for the baby bears. The only upside is that I was too busy to pay attention. Miami Marlins are hopefully a tasty snack to recover.

Some team with a chance please rescue JT Realmuto from his similarly hellish existence with this depleted team during his prime years. You'll do yourself a favor.

No Cards? I see you stuck Cubs in there, those are the only others I'd say should be eligible.
