Sweetheart Stout over heavy.
Although its served or was served with about 3/4 pint of heavy with a bottle of stout.
You invariably got 1and 1/2 pints.
It did flow easily.
A Brown mild, which for the uninitiated was a bottle of brown ale over a half of mild in a pint glass, if anything it showed you what your arse was really for in the morning.

When I first moved away from Liverpool which in the early 1980's was mainly Lager, and lime drink with the youth moving to the ribble valley area I was invited to a local pub with pie and peas on the menu for lunch - I asked for a Lager ......
All the guys from Lancashire ordered the drink a pint of mixed draft mild with draft bitter - this is what you drink if you live here tbh it was a fantastic pint, and I could see why they drank it it tasted nicer tha Guiness soI stuck with that drink for years tillI then moved to Cheshire ......the beer was not the same as Lancashire , and Yorkshire local brews......

Brandy and Wee Heavy which was a fortified ale brewed by Fowlers and came in little thin bottles in 60s/70s. Quite pricey but effective and didn't "bag you up".
