Missing Games

He can afford to go the game he has no commitments to stop him going the games, his only motivation to stop going the game is he chooses not to as he feels we are not winning, hence in my eyes he isn't a true supporter.
There are thousands of fans who would love to be in his position, but for a range of reasons they can't get to the game.
In my eyes I don't want glory hunting supporters, I want fans who stick by the team the team through good and bad times

So you want to get the chance to pick who supports us?

Get out of here you monumental beaut

Leave out the name calling, including the "kopites" stuff.

I'm not going to let on how long I've been going to Goodison but it"s always been the case that some Blues will follow us without fail, home and away, others will always be there at Goodison while others will pick and choose.

It's the same at all clubs and certainly not exclusive to us, or the other lot across the park. If you want to fall out over it, fine, but do it by PM. The lad who started this thread had a family against footie dilemma and probably didn't want to have this turn into a "best fan" thread.

TL;DR ?

My issue is not with the lad who started the thread, I have constantly said family first and also sighted other good and valid reasons for not going the game. My argument is with @ianefc who chooses to pull us to pieces and chooses not to go, but would go if we got to Wembley...he has no restraints in going the game.

I called it a night the other night for good reasons, and will call it a night again

I know who your argument's with mate.

What I'm saying is sometimes you either have to accept that other fans don't share your views and swerve it, or find a way of disagreeing without getting quite so personal, which is always difficult, especially online

If in doubt, do a Chico and sit on the fence :)

Today was boss & we didn't have a day like this last season.

People can change their personal priorities & not go, or not go as often and that's fine.

You don't need to justify it, but if you must, please don't justify your decision by pretending things are worse or they are going 'downhill'. Because they patently aren't. The defence is iffy because we're missing 2 of the England national team back four (think about that for a second; 10 years ago this would have seemed insane) and the goalie is poor a lot of the time. But creatively, and in attack, we have lots of young, exciting players and we're scoring plenty of goals. The atmosphere shouts are boringly predictable; people have this weird blue-tinted memory that the 'atmosphere' was so much better 5/10/15 years ago, when it really wasn't, it hasn't changed and people always have a moan about it. Overall, most outsiders looking in here would think some people are absolutely mad, and would kill for half our players in their first team.
