Toffees star talks up potential exit.
Everton winger Kevin Mirallas may have only moved to Goodison Park last summer but the Belgian is already planning his exit strategy according to the Daily Express.
The 25 year old has had an effective first season in the English top tier, scoring seven and providing six assists in all competitions this term but the £6m signing is already planning for life away from his Merseyside outfit.
Mirallas has Spanish ancestry from his mother’s side of the family and has stated; “My roots make me want to go and play in Spain.”
Not content with this statement the talented attacker then went on to make it clear he wants to return to his former Belgian side Standard Liege,
“And I will play for Standard Liege one day, no matter what.”
Whilst no time frame has been established in his statements these are sure to be comments that concern David Moyes who will have a big enough issue keeping hold of long term exit linked stars such as Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines, and will not be happy to hear that a player who has been at the club for less than a year is already talking up a move away from the Toffees.
Mirallas is already something of a journeyman footballer having plied his trade in his native Belgium, France and Greece thus far in his varied career.
