Should we have a minute, or even an hour, in honour and respect for those who lost their lives in the earthquake today?

Perhaps one of the mods can advertise a time? :)

But what would anyone possibly gain?

Where do you draw the line at who you have these things for? Who deserves them and who doesn't?

I don't need to not do something for a set amount of time to think about lives that have been lost in any situation across the world.

So in other words no :D

No. Coming from the right place but it's a pointless exercise. If you want to contribute there are several emergency funds and charities atm to donate aid to. The minute when the forum is shut wouldn't be spent by anyone thinking about the Haitians, they'd just go on facebook. Never been a fan of the trivial shows of respect, should do it in a way that matters.

It's a tragic event, make no mistake about it, but to hold a minutes silence on here because of it doesn't fit right somehow, we'd be the only ones maybe, very benevolent of someone to suggest it, but to cut to the chase, I say no.

if we do it for every tragedy then the place will always be on silent.

we didn't do it for the tsunami victims and one of our players had relatives that were in it.

stick to facebook for stuff like that, seems you are launching some sort of coup to take over the forum.
