The miracle of getting Glastonbury tickets and the smugness of being the one in the group who managed to snare them

registering for Glastonbury tickets in a group and letting everyone else sit in a queue for an hour to get yours for you while you have a lie in...and then them feeling great about themselves cos they managed to get them

Tea last night, I basically started with chicken thighs and totally made it up as I was going along to make a cracking casserole thing, everyone loved it.

I'm no Nigel Slater, but I'm gradually getting half decent at this cooking lark, knowing what to throw in to get the right flavour.

Just saw about a little flock of these fellas in Calderstones Park - Ring Neck Parakeets.

Buzzing around in the trees, brightened the place up no end.

I'd be very interested in knowing how they got there ?

They are now endemic in the U.K.
They are now common darn sarf and are pretty common garden birds!
Seem to have come from released cage birds
Similarly they are common in a lot of European cities along with monk parakeet and nanday parakeet
The end is coming I tells ya!
