Have a look at the Royal Mail info regarding new barcoded stamps that are due to come in. You can "swap out" any old stamps by sending them back with an online form printed out. Apparently, old style Christmas stamps are exempt from the need to "swap out" so that's fine. I can use them after deadline day 31st Jan 2023. It's all part of the Stamp Swap Out Scheme.

When did "swap out" become common parlance? It's like "match-up" or "change-up". Oh for crying out loud.......

This isn’t really minor.

Today my kind hearted wife agreed to dog sit for her nephew (I discover the nephew's dad is at home but is too lazy to do it ffs!). Its a boistrous black lab puppy that took less than 5 minutes in the house to rip out a speaker terminal, create a short and destroy £2000* of tube amp as well as the obvious damage to the speaker. We even have to deliver the dog back home because the brother-in-law is that indolent he won't pick it up. (I wasn't consulted on any of this otherwise a dose of reality would have been hammered in).

I'm currently feeding the damned animal windfalls in the hope it goes back home with the shits.

*obviously not what I paid for it 25 years ago...I'm not a tory ... but to replace today.
